Quality Education is a Top Priority
K-12. Wisconsin is well known for high quality education,
and Price County is no exception. The area features the
public school districts of Chequamegon (Park Falls), Phillips,
and Prentice. The county has an active Home School
Association, as well.
College. Beyond high
school, Price County
offers a technical college
education at the North
Campus of Wausau's
Northcentral Technical
College (NTC).
NTC’s regional campus in Phillips was built in 1989. In
2010, the Phillips campus celebrated a 12,500 square foot
expansion, which allows the campus to offer training in a
wide range of careers.
The Phillips campus provides high-value learning to
residents in its service area by providing on-line learning,
interactive television system (ITV), and alternative learning
approaches, such as self-paced learning labs.
The college offers a wide range of services, including
customized training and technical assistance for local
businesses and industries, tailor-made classes, testing and
evaluation, and consulting services. For more information,
contact NTC at 715-339-4555.
There are also additional nearby higher education
opportunities, including Wisconsin Indianhead Technical
College and Northland College (both located in Ashland),
and Nicolet College in Rhinelander.
“As a Chequamegon School Board member, I’m
proud of our District’s Vision to Educate,
Inspire, and Empower Lifelong Learners. Our
Mission is to provide educational opportunities
in partnership with our community, which
inspires students and prepares them for global
success.”
